Thank you for considering Trillium as the florist for your big day. We look forward to chatting with you about all things flowers! To begin working with us, please fill in our online questionnaire so we can get a better idea of your needs. Our Wedding Consultant will confirm receipt within 48 hours and proceed to send you an emailed quote with a breakdown of your wedding flower needs. From there, you may make an informed decision if you would like to book our services and secure your date with a 20% deposit. 2-3 months prior to your date we will meet with you in person to discuss the details of your order at which point half of your balance is due. We will then contact you 3-4 weeks prior to your date to confirm any last minute changes and receive your final payment.
Below are some wedding flower-related FAQ that might help you along in the planning process and tell you a bit about our policies.
1. How far in advance should I contact you to discuss my flowers?
We usually recommend around 8 months before your wedding to contact us, or up to a year if your wedding is during busier months (May-Oct). We have, however, worked with tighter timelines!
2. Is there anything I need prior to contacting you?
We ask that your bridesmaids' dresses be chosen beforehand to make it easier to select appropriate florals. Please provide links to photos of bouquets and arrangements you like in the questionnaire or by email so we can get an idea of your vision. If you're stuck without a vision, don't fret! We will work with you from the ground up on creating a personalized vision for you and your soon-to-be spouse.
3. How come you don't have wedding prices on your website?
As no two weddings are alike and individual flower pricing varies, we prefer the flexibility of providing our couple's with a custom quote. All we need is a bit of information about your day and your floral vision, and we will email you with a customized proposal for your day. Click here to get started!
4. When is your wedding consultant available for consultations?
Our consultant is in the shop from Tuesdays to Saturdays. We take appointments Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00am-4:30pm, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00am-5:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am-3:00pm. If none of those times work with your schedule, please contact us and we can make alternate arrangements. All consultations are done at our location – 329 March Road.
5. I live out of town and won't be in the area until closer to the wedding day, what are my options?
That's not a problem! Our initial quote is provided by email and we can always do a consultation over the phone to discuss the details!
6. Do you offer wedding flower delivery outside of Ottawa?
Yes we do. Please let us know your delivery location and we will provide you with a quote.
7. Can I send someone to pick up my wedding flowers?
Yes, of course! All of the bouquets and arrangements are boxed and are easily transportable. All boutonnieres and corsages are labelled so they are easier to distribute. If the flowers are to be picked up, please confirm the pick up time with the wedding consultant beforehand so we can make sure everything is ready on time. If you require centerpieces or larger arrangements, it is always best to have us set them up to ensure they look their best, any broken flowers are replaced and to top up the water in each centerpiece, keeping them fresh.
8. What is your substitution policy?
In very rare cases, some flowers may not make it to our shop during transportation or they may be shipped in really bad condition. We try our hardest to find the flowers ordered but in some cases, substitutions may apply. If a main flower in your bouquet needs to be substituted, we will let you know right away so you can guide us on the best solution. If a minor flower needs to be substituted, we will use our best judgement in the substitution.
