A Tea Cup Wedding

Last weekend we did a very lovely, country-styled wedding. The bride brought us vintage tea cups that she collected which we arranged flowers into for her centerpieces…gosh, were they ever cute!! She had a white, pink and yellow colour scheme. So enough of the chit chat, I’ll just show you the lovely photos!

The Royal Wedding: Flowers

As much as I’ve heard enough hoopla about the Royal Wedding, I feel as a florist I need to make some comments. Especially for an event where $800,000 was spent of flowers! As far as I can tell, I have no idea where all this money went but here’s the scoop!

Thinking About an All White Bouquet?

Happy Easter everyone, hope you all had a great weekend!

I came across a photo the other day of one of my summer brides from last year. The couple was so great and easy to deal with and I absolutely loved the way her bouquet turned out! She wanted an all white bouquet for herself and pink ones for her bridesmaids who wore navy blue dresses. Normally we try to talk brides out of doing an all white bouquet but I wasn’t about to talk her out of something she really wanted (it’s her wedding!). Although she was completely happy with her flowers and choices I just wanted to show everyone why we try to talk brides out of all white bouquets…

Wedding Advice: Stick To Your Gut!

April 18, 2011 -No Comments -My Wedding, Wedding Venue

As of last Wednesday I was 4 months away from the big day *takes a deep breath*! As usual, same as when I was in school, I always leave things to the last minute. I thought with the wedding I would get things done earlier because I’m such an organised freak but no, I’m 4 months away with not much to show for it. I realised all I’ve been really doing is reading wedding blogs, looking at magazines, adding to the MANY saved pictures in my Wedding folder, but no real decision making or getting things done. I guess I just felt that I needed to know every little thing about weddings and every single option before making a decision. This week I realised that that is NOT TRUE!
